Unlike Ace Combat 2 where you were allowed to choose a different path only once during the game, AC3E allows you to choose multiple paths, each of which will affect the game's outcome. You'll be able to tackle the challenge with your new craft and various topnotch weapons like guided missiles and machine guns. You'll use your planes in a near-future setting-as opposed to the 'small country' settings of the previous two- where a new world order has come to power. Plus, the quantity of planes in AC3E has nearly doubled from the previous games.
The screens in this early preview version show visuals that are much more clearly defined than the graphics in the first two Ace Combats, featuring battles that range from skirmishes in steamy jungles to stealthy night missions. With one of the strongest flight franchises to hit console s/stems, Namco looks set to blow away any competition this year with the gorgeously rendered AC3E. Get ready, jet jockeys!
